Stuff! Consignments

Today was a great day at Stuff! Consignments...lots of happy customers loading up on some real treasures...and everything was 20% to 50% off! We hope our 10-10-10 sale and Columbus Day sale are just as successful. We sold a TON of jewelry, several Halloween costumes, a Pier One metal plant stand, 2 hammock chairs, luggage, about 9 pairs of baby shoes, artwork, a beautiful Fall centerpiece, Franco Sarto shoes, tons of clothing, a deep fryer, coffee maker, several DVDs, books, a black leather jacket...you get the idea--lots of stuff!

We consigned some really nice things today as well--brand new, queen size white down comforter, brand new Ralph Lauren queen size mattress cover, a metal cat about 3 feet tall holding a welcome sign, a metal cat decoration with a bobbing head, jewelry, key chains, a signed/numbered Georgetown print--Wintertime, clothing, Dept. 56 house, very large brown wooden Pottery Barn mirror, a round glass top table with metal base, 3 ceramic sailor figurines-one holding a map, one holding binoculars and one holding a lantern.....and many other very nice items!

We haven't been able to blog for awhile...way too busy with all of the great "stuff" coming in every day. But now that we are back we have some wonderful news to report: a SURPRISE SALE! We usually do not take electronic games, but we couldn't pass up a pink Nintendo DS system with case and a bag of accessories for just $99. In addition, there are 6 DS games at just $12 apiece...can you say BARGAIN!!!! How about an adorable red print quilted Vera Bradley purse--perfect price at $24. We also consigned a Coach canvas messenger bag/briefcase for $75!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello from Stuff! Consignments....another busy day at the shop. We are excited about Dawn Burrell of Let's Re-Arrange It! presenting her seminar on How to Conquer Home Organization tomorrow evening at 6 pm. Many, many customers have said that they plan to attend so we hope to have a great crowd....and of course, we hope to sell a lot of Stuff! We will have coupons for $5 off any purchase of $25 or more, plus lots of sale merchandise.

We have some great pieces of furniture in the shop and a waiting list of folks who have furniture that they are ready to consign. There is a lovely white wrought iron 3 panel screen for just $49--perfect for shabby chic decor! We have several carved wooden plant stands that are the perfect accent for any room. Need a rocking chair? How about a hand painted pastel rocker in soft pink and green for a nursery or for a more traditional style, how about a black Ethan Allen painted rocker...each of these is just $30. A very nice wood and metal baker's rack came in several days ago and it has gotten a lot of compliments--just $185. We also have several coffee tables and occasional tables...you will have to pay us a visit to see all that we have to offer.

If you haven't been to our shop you will be amazed at all the great Stuff! that comes in on a daily basis--lamps, figurines, linens, clothing, shoes, purses, jewelry (tons of pins came in today-butterflies and flowers), furniture, home decor, books and much, much more!!!

The shop is bursting at the seams...full of STUFF!!!!! Today was one of our busiest days ever, but don't worry, we still have lots and lots of treasures.

A consignor brought in a collection of colorful stained glass suncathers--grapes, a lighthouse, bicycle, birds, sailboat, angel...just to name a few--all priced at $7 or less. We had several consignors bring in jewelry-earrings, pins, bracelets and necklaces--even a collection of shell jewelry--so fun for the summer. In addition, we also consigned a set of golf clubs-$75, a coral paisley Ralph Lauren king size comforter--$29-excellent condition, 2 hammock swing chairs-$25 each--way under priced, and for all you project lovers, how about a wooden pressed back chair that has been stripped and is ready for a cheerful coat of paint--just $10!

Did you see the beautiful, show stopping, ornate bird cage we had...it flew the coop today--SOLD! It was such a great conversation piece and one of our most interesting items.

Our tiny shop is crammed full of the most wonderful merchandise ever...and all priced to sell. Just yesterday we consigned a beautiful collection of figurines--Royal Doulton, Royal Copenhagen and Lladro--and you will not believe the prices-$85 to $99. If you collect these figurines you know what an absolutely fabulous deal these are--the Royal Doulton "Donna" figurine has already been sold! We also consigned a pine coffee table--very basic and will fit almost any decor--for $49. Love wicker? Just in is a cream wicker 3 drawer dresser--$125. Love Pier One? We have 3 pieces of furniture from Pier One...a table and 2 shelves--glass and iron and very attractive. A vintage curio/china cabinet in excellent condition also came in yesterday and will not last long...we will post pictures of all this furniture later today..so stay tuned.

For all you jewelry lovers...we took in over 50 pieces of brand new Premier Designs earrings, pendants, necklaces and bracelets yesterday...just what you need to jazz up your Spring wardrobe..and speaking of your wardrobe...we have some beautiful new fashions for the Spring for women and children and even men...check us out!

We also just got in BRAND NEW in the box Spode wine glasses-Floral Haven for just $30--these would make a lovely wedding gift...as would the beautiful crystal bowl with scalloped rim--just $16. Other new arrivals include 2 boxes of Pier One silverplate napkin rings, bread warming basket with stone, a German Sheppard wine cork and a Bombay wooden game box with 2 drawers and game pieces. From the early 1900s we have over 75 vintage postcards from around the world...these are so gorgeous and just $3 each. There are also many postcards from the 1960s....for a trip down memory lane.

Over 100 pieces of jewelry came in last night...earrings, pins and bracelets and tons of rings!!!

Spring Is Almost Here....

Next week we will begin to accept Spring clothing for consignment...call now for an appointment. You may consign 24 items at each appointment and all clothing must be CLEAN and in EXCELLENT condition.....and NO WRINKLES! We are so excited to switch gears, but first we need to clear out all of our Winter clothing...so....all clothing (except red tickets which are 50% off) is 25% off starting tomorrow, Wednesday-Febraury 24th. Now is the time to load up on great bargains.

Today one of our consignors brought in her rooster collection-clock, trivets, pictures, figurines, plates...even a red shelf with a rooster on it. The rooster theme is very popular these days so these might not last too long. Another consignor brought in some very beautiful pieces from Italy and Germany--a Capodimonte candelabra with delicate pink flowers, a Capodimonte basket, a very old cheese dome in the shape of a lady, an enamel vase, candle holder, and pedestal dish with dragonflies, a bumblebee honey jar, a miniature Hummel tea set...and many other interesting and beautiful items.

Love cookbooks? How about those wonderful collections put out from organizations from years ago as fundraisers? We have about 12 of them from all over...only $4 each.

Surely you have heard the saying..."one man's trash is another man's treasure"...well, don't most people throw away the lint from the dryer???? Of course they do! But one of our consignors just brought in some very interesting "artwork"--pictures made from dryer lint! One is a lighthouse scene and the other is a fish...really!

People keep asking us..."what are you selling?".."what sells best?" ..."what are people looking for?" The answer is..a little of this and a little of that, a wide variety of interesting "stuff!" Here is a sampling of what we sold yesterday: a HUGE pink, stuffed pig-$25, an antique, upholstered lady's rocking chair-$99, a rattan file cart on wheels-$22, 2 Chinese wood block paintings-$25 each, a New England countryside oil painting-$75, a gravy separator-$5, a bust of Abe Lincoln-$25, an English porcelain teacup and saucer-$15, 2 pink satin pillows-$4 each, 2 brass and glass tabletop curio cabinets-$12 each, a magenta Chico's sweater-$12, a Longaberger basket-$32....these are just a few of the treasures that found new homes yesterday.

Other people are asking.."what kind of things do you take?"...."what are people consigning?"...and the answer is the same...a little of this and a little of that, a wide variety of interesting "stuff!" Last night we received 6 ceramic sardines-$16, 6 red and pin glass tassels-$3 each, signed blue yellow pottery vase-$16, a milk glass turtle box-$13, a blue perfume bottle from the 1800s-$25, Goebel mallard duck figurine-$25, a shell wreath-$7 and many other interesting and unusual trinkets. This morning we received several pictures--3 floral arrangements in white frames-$10 each, a colorful village scene puzzle, framed and matted-$49, a Southern Living white metal letter holder-$12, a Southern Living metal plate holder-$12, vintage Anchor Hocking white with gold trim-$29...and much, much more...and guess what? More is coming in today...and tomorrow...and the next day!!!!!

Things are HOPPING at Stuff! Consignments.....just today we received a beautiful red and gold striped wing back chair--excellent condition--just $150! A gorgeous Pottery Barn rug--5 X 8--a beautiful design in red, green, black and tan...$99! We also received 2 rocking chairs--one is hand painted in pinks and greens-perfect for a little girl's room- and the other is a small wooden child's rocker. These items just came in.......you might want to check them out before they are gone.

This weekend a consignor came down from Pittsburgh with a truckload of interesting merchandise...a maple butcher block island $225, a butcher block island with white legs $75, a very old metal crib-very collectible and perfect for a doll collection, 2 tiered metal fruit basket, a solid copper pot with handle, several wine racks, candleholders, artwork and much, much more....

Another consignor brought in a collection of Longaberger baskets--several Collectors Club, 2001 Whistle Stop Basket, 2002 Woven Memories Basket.....among others. Today a consignor brought in a collection of salt cellars-glass, silver and china-as well as a host of other miniature collectibles from around the world--3 small, round metal boxes with animal handles from Turkey, a black and gold owl box from Burma and a crystal apple to name a few.

Clothing has been coming in like crazy...too much to list...so you will have to stop by and check it out for yourself!

SNOW DAY!!!!

The weatherman says we are going to get some more SNOW! What better way to spend a nice snowy day than browsing through Stuff! Consignments...the shop is guaranteed to be warm and toasty.

While you are here, be sure to check out our kitchen department. Everyone loves to bake when it snows, right? We have all the things you need to bake a pie or cake from glass pans to aprons. We even have several cake plates to showcase your culinary skills--clear glass with dome, milk glass, a Pfaltzgraff decorated with polar bears, ivory ceramic trimmed in gold with a matching server.....just to name a few. Our kitchen department is loaded with Pampered Chef, Pyrex and Tupperware--brands you know and love to get at a fantastic price. We also have quite a nice selection of pot holders, kitchen towels, placemats and napkins.

We just changed one of our front window displays today....you will have to check out the adorable children's items--Pottery Barn pink patchwork bedspread, pillow sham and bedskirt, an adorable dump truck rug with matching dump truck/moving truck pictures, baby girl photo album, Gymboree jeans, Gap shirt, Tommy Hilfiger outfit, Carter's blanket and onesies and beautiful books. We have already sold several items so this window display might not last long!

Imagine what you can do with this...this same consignor also brought in an adorable black metal floor lamp with hooks for baskets....and a very smart looking rooster lamp shade. This lamp is only $18.00 and will not be in the shop very long. Speaking of baskets, the consignor used this lamp to display her Longaberger baskets...and yes, we have several Longaberger baskets as well as a Longaberer vase and canister set for sale.

Need new boots? Today we received a brand new pair of Nine West, size 10 suede boots with a faux fur lining...perfect for this cold weather. Are you a size 14?
