If we could just update the blog everyday like we said we would....alas, there are just not enough hours in the day!!! But we can't let today go by without an update. For starters we took in over 350 items today, so that should tell you something!

A world traveler brought in some very interesting artwork--three silk embroidered wall hangings from Bangladesh-one is the Royal Couple, one is two women and one is a rickshaw with three passengers--the detail is exquisite and the colors are lovely. There is also an intricate Hindu god wall hanging--again with exquisite color and detail. From India there is a hunt scene in a very old colorful inlaid frame--from China a very interesting 3 drawer wooden box of sorts--the wood is so worn and smooth--you can tell there is an ancient story to be told! From Romania there is a tabletop 3 panel, hand painted screen with a countryside scene in muted oranges and greens...from Pakistan there are brass boxes and vases--all very interesting and none of it run of the mill, mass produced. Yesterday we took in some other items with an international flair--2 Chinese embroidered pictures--a peacock and a mountain scene and from Thailand a very large hand cut leather design mounted on a turquoise background. Add some spark to your home decor!

Not interested in treasures from afar? How about some really spectacular NEW items? Just to mention a few...think gifts and Spring--brand new oven mitts, napkin holders, stationary, Silvestri Fanciful Flights figurines, heavy glassware from Mexico, Takes Two teapots, sugar bowls and creamers, chalkboard frames, magnetic frames, Vera Bradley plates, Alaska bushplane paperweight, bags of potpourri, pillows, planters, artwork, purses, candlesticks, gardening gift sets and other cool gardening items-tools, gloves, a wrought iron hose holder, a work apron--mirrors, wallets......there is just too much to mention. Believe us when we tell you that it is worth it to stop by Stuff! Consignments in Gainesville.....you will not be disappointed if you are looking for something unique and affordable!

While some people are interested in what is coming into the shop, may people ask us what sells--just today one of our happy customers bought two wing back chairs, 2 lamps, 2 pillows and 24 wine glasses! Another customer bought a black utility shelf that just came in yesterday. A quilt rack that came in yesterday went right back out today.... lots of clothing, shoes and jewelry and the usual and unusual odds and ends--shower hooks, an old Fuller brush, a vase, candles, a vintage tin....stuff!

We hope to see you soon! As a new customer put it yesterday..."you really need to come in more than once a day!"
