Overheard in the shop today...." I can't believe I am here again--I love this place."
Are you ready to hear about all the great "stuff" that came into the shop today??????? For starters....how about this for a nice Valentine's Day gift--a brand new Coldwater Creek watch still in the red "croc" box--this is a smart looking watch with a silver tone link band and the face of the watch has Roman numerals, plus there are two extra watchbands-red "croc" and black "croc"--and you won't believe the price--$15! Another idea for a Valentine's Day gift--a Tracy Porter Nutmeg tea- for- one with tray only $25! Pair this up with an assortment of teas, put a pink bow on it and viola!--a great (not to mention thoughtful) gift that didn't cost you an arm and a leg.
Do you know anyone who collects old kitchen ware???? Tell them about the OLD hand mixer we just got in with the faded yellow wooden handle--you know these are hard to find and this one won't last long at just $10!! There is also an old grater which is also just $10. Collect salt and pepper shakers? Check out the kitschy toaster with 2 pieces of toast ($4) or the red and clear plastic Tennessee shakers ($6)--loads of fun and a great find. Tired of the cold winter weather? Well snap out of it and buy 8 green glass margarita glasses (try saying that 5 times after you have had several margaritas) to put you in the summer mood--these are really nice and only $15--bargain! To add to the summer mood, scoop up the mood enhancing Outer Banks watercolor of the shore--a line of old style beach houses nestled behind the dunes--this original artwork is only $49!
We get in tons of really great books and we price them to sell--most are between $3 and $5--today we got in several cookbooks-Prevention's Cooking for Good Health-$6- and Williams Sonoma Casual Entertaining-$6 are two of them--we sell lots of cookbooks...and don't forget we have a whole kitchen department chock full of pots, pans, serving dishes, small appliances, gadgets, containers, plates, mugs...you get the idea...
A new consignor just started today and he is going to be making weekly visits as he cleans out his mother and grandmother's "stuff"--lots of treasures in the mix--Haviland Limoges dish with violets-$20, Hammersley potpourri ball-$9, Takahashi hand painted in gold butterflies box-$14, blue and white ceramic decorative balls in various sizes......just to mention a few things.
This is just the tip of the iceberg on all of the "stuff" that came into the shop today---more updates tomorrow!
Hope to see you soon at Stuff! Consignments in Gainesville, Virginia.
